About Taekwondo

Loughborough Students Taekwondo is a long-standing club formed in 1995 by senior members of the GTUK, one of the largest and most established independent groups in the UK. We practice ITF style of Taekwondo but welcome people from all martial arts background. We cater to all levels from complete beginners to black belts. Most of our senior members started with no prior experience!

We offer the opportunity to train with a senior International GTUK instructor alongside a full club up to five times a week. We run separate classes every week for beginners and senior members as well as freestyle training session where you have time to practice whatever you have learned with our Club Captain. Senior members are always available and willing to help.

The club actively encourages its members to take part in competitions throughout the year including BUCS, the GTUK National Championships, University championships, and Scottish International Championships. Loughborough has a fantastic tradition of winning medals whenever we compete, long may it continue!

The club is an excellent way to make friends and meet new people. We hold regular socials outside of training which is a great way for new members to get to know one another.
